How good is the WIFI?
We offer reliable, strong Wi-Fi connection, powered by fiber optic technology.
Rare but possible power cuts, particularly during stormy conditions, can occur.
What type of plugs are used in Bali?
Bali uses 220 volt electricity with standard European sockets for ‘Type C’ plugs. We do have adapters at the reception for your use.
Money
Do I need cash?
Yes! Cash is king in Bali. Most local warungs (small restaurants) only accept cash.
Where can I change money?
Currency exchange is available in Amed, please ask reception for details.
Where can I get money / ATM?
There about 6 ATMs in the general Amed area, please ask reception for details.
Can I use a credit card?
At Ibus Beach Hotel, we accept both cash and credit cards (3% bank fee applies on card payments).
Transportation
Do you offer airport transfers?
We can easily arrange a car and driver for hire to meet you at the airport or at your accommodation in Bali.
How far is Amed village?
We are a 15-minute scooter ride to Amed village.
Can I rent a scooter?
Scooter Rental: starting at 80k per day. If you plan to drive around Bali you should have an international permit. If you are stopped by the traffic police and you do not have a permit, expect to pay fines.
Are there Grabs or ride-share apps?
Ride-sharing apps like Grab and Gojek do not operate in Amed, nor do standard taxis. Arranging a driver with us is the most assured way to travel.
Are Local tours available?
Yes! We offer an Amlapura tour where you can select the duration and the destinations to visit out of our recommended list.
Health
Is there a clinic near by?
Yes, Lipah Medical Center is less than a 10 minute drive away.
Is there a hospital nearby?
The closest hospital is in Amplapura - about a 45 minute drive. Full service hospitals are located in Denpasar, Sanur and Kuta about 2.5-3 hours away. A general practitioner (GP) or family doctor is available in the Amed area.
Is there a pharmacy nearby
Yes, there is a pharmacy Bunutan, just 5 minutes from the hotel. Common medicines can be purchased without a prescription such antihistamines, antibiotics, antacids and antidiarrheals.
Are there Mosquitoes?
Mosquitoes are prevalent in Bali all year round. Electric mosquito repellent pads are available for in-room use. Mosquito coils are available for use on the terrace and outdoor areas. We recommend using personal mosquito repellent during the rainy season in the early evenings.
What about Dengue?
Proper precautions and awareness should keep you dengue-free during your visit to Bali. We have not had any cases of dengue fever at our properties. During the rainy season, we recommend using personal mosquito repellent in the late afternoons, setting up a burning mosquito coil for the terrace and using the electric mosquito pads in the bedrooms. Bug spray is available to knock-down any nuisance insects. We do use fogging on the property to reduce mosquitoes during the rainy season.
Do I need vaccines?
There are no vaccinations legally required for entry into Bali unless you are arriving from a Yellow Fever endemic country. However, it is recommended to be up to date on basic vaccines like Hepatitis A, Typhoid, and Tetanus when travelling.
Food
Are there restaurants near by?
Yes, you can walk to several nearby spots like Trattoria for Italian and Indonesian classics, Legong for Western dishes, and Ibus Sea View Warung for traditional local food. Additionally, many more dining options are available just a short drive away in Amed center.
